    Here, I will tell you the recruitment or selection process of UP Police constable direct recruitment. According to 2018 notification, there are four stages in up Police constable Selection process-
    1. Online Written Examination
    2. Documents verification & Physical Standard Test (PST)
    3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (Running)

    Stage 1-Online Written Examination

    Examination Pattern for Constable:- 

    • There will be the Online or offline exam of 300 marks consisting of optional type & multiple choice questions.
    • The examination will be conducted in both Hindi and English language, but General Hindi portion part will be in Hindi.
    •  There will be a total of 150 questions in the online exam, each question is 2 marks. The Exam will be a total of 300 marks of 150 questions. The exam duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
    • There will be negative marking ½ (0.5) for any wrong answer given by the candidates.

     Note- In the written examination, the negative marking 0.5 will be done given on any wrong answered.

    Salary of Constable:

    Rs. 5200-20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 2000/ and according to new7th pay commission salary matrix Rs. 21700-

    Eligibility Criteria of Constable:

    Nationality:  

    The candidate must be a Citizen of India and refugee of Tibbets and other as per rule.

    Age Limits of Constable: 

    For a male candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 22. For a female candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25. SC/ST/OBC (maximum 05 years)/ other get age relaxation as per rule.

    Minimum Educational Qualifications of UP Police Constable:

    The candidate must pass 12th and the equivalent.

    Other Additional Qualification:

    • O level certificate from the NIELIT or the DOEACC.
    • Minimum 2-year service in the Territorial Army.
    • The B certificate of NCC.

    Stage 2-Documents verification & Physical Standard Test (DV-PST) of Constable:

    The documents verification process will be started after written exam qualify, the candidates produce original academic documents and other relevant documents before the Board at the time of documents verification.

    Note: Minimum 05 cm expansion of chest is necessary for Male Candidates

    Stage 3-Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of Constable:

    The Physical Efficiency Test is only for qualified candidates in DV & PST. There will be a race-
     Male – 4.8 KMs in 25 minutes and
     Female – 2.4 KMs in 14 minutes.
    This race is qualifying in nature.

    4-Medical Examination and Merit list of Constable:

    The medical examination will be done after the selection of the above three stages by the medical board and whoever qualify the medical examination, the merit list will be prepared based on a written test. Whoever secured their name in the merit list, will be selected for appointment by up police recruitment board. 

    UP Police Constable Exam Syllabus

    1-General Hindi:- 

    Hindi Grammar- (Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Idioms & Phrases, tense, verb), Use of Words, Antonym, Synonym, One Word Substitutions, Sentence Correction, Hindi and regional language, famous poets, awards in the Hindi language, Miscellaneous.

    2-General Knowledge:-

    General Knowledge, Indian Constitution, General Science,  Indian Economy, Biology and health-related programs, Indian history, Freedom struggle of 1857, Indian geography and world geography, FDI and population survey, Relations with neighbouring countries, , Computer knowledge and Cyber act knowledge,  Law and administration of UP, Focus on affairs about India and its adjacent countries too, Indian Languages, Books, Script, Capital, Currency, athlete such as essential knowledge, Questions about towards a scientist sight and decision making which expected from an educated person. National/International Awards, Scientific Progress and Development,

    3-Numerical & Mental Ability Test:-

    Numerical Aptitude:- Number System, Use of Table & Graph, Simplification, Simple Interest, Mensuration, Compound Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Time & Work, Decimal & Fraction, HCF LCM, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Distance, Partnership,  Miscellaneous.
    Mental Ability Test:- Letter and number coding, Direction Sense Test, Codification, Perception Test, Word formation Test, Word and the alphabet Analogy, Forcefulness of argument, Common Sense Test, Logical Diagrams, Symbol-Relationship Interpretation,  Logical interpretation of data, Determining implied meanings, Letter and number series, Miscellaneous.

    4- Mental Aptitude Test/ Test of Reasoning /Intelligence Quotient Test:-

    Mental Aptitude Test:-  Mental strangeness,  Crime Control, Rule of Law, Ability of Adaptability, Public Interest, Law & Order, Communal Harmony, Police System, Gender sensitivity and minorities, Basic Law, PIL (public interest litigants), Interest in Profession, Contemporary Police Issues, Professional Information (Basic level), underprivileged, Sensitivity towards.
    Intelligence Quotient Test:- Blood Relation, Relationship and Analogy Test, Spotting out the dissimilar, Direction Sense Test, Coding-Decoding, Series Completion, Problems based on the alphabet, Time sequence test, Arranging in order, Venn Diagram & chart type test, Mathematical ability Test.
